Appearance Tab

In CustomShow's Editor Console, elements can be modified by changing their properties in the Properties Panel.

Each type of element, whether it be an image, video, or otherwise will display their own unique tab in the Properties Panel.

However, all elements use the same Appearance tab where users can change properties such as size, position, opacity, and much more.

The options in the Appearance tab include the following:

Name

  • Editable label for each element. Click to edit.
  • Accepts all ASCII characters.

Position

  • Editable labels for the X (Horizontal), Y (Vertical), and Z (Depth) coordinates for each element.
  • Accepts numeric values only.
  • Maximum of 10000 pixels.

Size

  • Editable labels for the Width and Height for each element.
  • Accepts numeric values only.
  • Minimum of 1 pixel. Maximum of 10000 pixels.

Aspect Ratio Lock

  • Clickable button to enable or disable Aspect Ratio lock when changing the Width and Height of an element.
  • Enabled by default.
  • When Enabled, element will scale to match original aspect ratio of the width and height.

Crop

  • Checkbox to enable or disable Edit Crop tool.

Opacity

  • Editable label for the Opacity or Transparency of an element.
  • Accepts numeric values between 0 and 100.

Corner Radius

  • Editable label for the appearance of a Corner Radius or Rounded Corners of an element.
  • Accepts numeric values between 0 and 280.

Rotation

  • Editable label for the rotation of an element.
  • Accepts numeric values between 0 and 360.

Fill

  • Contains multiple sub sections to modify, add, or remove a Fill Color on text or shape elements.
  • Drop-down menu contains Solid Color and None options. None will disable the fill color.
  • Selectable color pickers for recent colors and new colors.
  • Editable label for Opacity, to modify the Opacity or Transparency of a Fill Color.

Stroke

  • Contains multiple sub sections to modify, add, or remove a Stroke on any element.
  • Drop-down menu contains Line and None options. None will disable the stroke.
  • Selectable color pickers for recent colors and new colors.
  • Editable label for Weight, to change the weight or thickness of a Stroke line.

Shadow

  • Collapsed by default, click the [+] button to expand.
  • Checkbox to enable or disable a Shadow for an element.
  • Editable labels for:
    • Opacity
    • Angle
    • Offset
    • Blur

Hyperlink

  • Collapsed by default, click the [+] button to expand.
  • Checkbox to enable or disable clickable Hyperlink on a selected element.
  • Drop-down menu to select any slide in the current presentation.
    • Hyperlinks can only be set to other slides in the same presentation as the source of the hyperlink.
