Admin: Single Sign-On Integration

CustomShow Administrators can insert IDP Metadata from SAML into CustomShow to integrate the application with Okta or OneLogin for Single Sign-On purposes.

IDP Metadata can only be obtained by SSO Administrator users, so please contact your organization's SSO Administrator for assistance if needed.

Okta Configuration

To set up SSO capabilities for CustomShow, first launch Okta and open the Admin Dashboard.

Click on the Applications tab.

Next, click on the Add Application button.

Search for or locate CustomShow, and click on the Add button.

Follow the instructions to set-up the authentication through Okta.

On Step 2, select Sign On and click on View Setup Instructions.

In the new window that appears, Okta will display instructions similar to those found in this document. Scroll to the bottom of the instructions and copy the large Metadata entry under Copy the following Identity Provider Metadata in Step 3.

This entry should appear similar to the following, with much more data. Note that this entry is specific to your configuration of Okta:

Next, Launch CustomShow.

Then, open the Admin Console and select the Client tab.

Next, select your Client group in the list. Then, click on Configure SSO

In the new window that appears, IDP Metadata must be inserted to configure CustomShow. Paste the copied contents as mentioned above into this field.

Click on the Enabled checkbox, and then click Save.

If you have not completed the setup for the CustomShow application through Okta, return to Okta and configure the application as needed.

OneLogin Configuration

To set up SSO capabilities for CustomShow, first launch OneLogin. Click on the Apps tab and select the Company Apps option.

If CustomShow is not already present in the Company Apps list, search for CustomShow, and click on the entry to add the application to your Company Apps list.

After selecting CustomShow from your apps list, select the SSO tab to view the application's SAML2.0 settings.

Locate the Issuer URL field, and click on the icon as noted below to Copy to Clipboard. This will copy the URL containing the Identity Provider XML Metadata required to configure CustomShow to login with the SSO.

Paste the URL into the same or separate browser window, and navigate to the URL pasted. This will prompt you to download an XML file provided by OneLogin.

Open the file in any text editing application to view the XML Metadata. Copy all of the content, no editing is necessary.

Next, Launch CustomShow.

Then, open the Admin Console and select the Client tab.

Next, select your Client group in the list. Then, click on Configure SSO

In the new window that appears, Metadata must be inserted to configure CustomShow. Paste the copied contents from the XML Metadata file provided by OneLogin into the dialog window.

Click on the Enabled checkbox, and then click Save.

If you have not completed the setup for the CustomShow application through OneLogin, return to OneLogin and configure the application as needed.
